THE PLAN
Create a Roadmap
The best way to prepare for college is to set objectives and expectations early, while at the same time staying open-minded to changes that may happen along the way. We will identify academic priorities, preferences and potential, and then develop strategies to build key strengths and bolster areas in need of improvement.
Time Management & Flexible Scheduling
I will break down tasks into manageable sizes, set regular deadlines, and keep things on track so that students are ready to put their best foot forward when submissions are due. Consultations are available online or at students' homes (or other mutually convenient places) and offered after school, over weekends, and during holidays.
Outsource the Nagging
The application process can seem like a fulltime job and can cause conflict within the family if pressure is not managed. By acting as a buffer between parents and student, I mitigate day-to-day stress and tension, thus freeing parents to focus on other things during these important years with their teenage child.
Love Plan B (and C, D . . .)
It is critical not only to create a balanced college list, but to feel excited about going to every school on it. We will conduct an exhaustive exploration of colleges and academic programs to make sure that you have covered every angle and have a solid plan in place when it's time to apply.
